Stay in an authentic village in Western Liguria

Our small but cosy apartment, Casa Piccolo Bassotto, is located in the old town of San Biagio della Cima, a typical Ligurian village near the French border. Western Liguria – the Riviera di Ponente – is known for its sunny, mild climate, long beaches, olive groves, and charming medieval villages, offering a classic Italian Riviera experience.

Situated about 100 metres above sea level and only 5 km from the seaside, village of San Biagio della Cima offers convenient access to both the Italian and French Riviera while preserving the tranquillity of an inland setting.

Please note that this is a historic village setting. Very narrow streets, occasional dog barking, church bells, scooters, and other everyday village sounds are part of the local character and should be expected.

The closest parking options are accessed through a very narrow historic gate. Please check your vehicle dimensions before arrival. The maximum recommended vehicle body width is 1688 mm (excluding side mirrors). Larger vehicles may need to use alternative parking options outside the old town. From there, the apartment is approximately a 10-minute walk away.

The apartment is part of a traditional Ligurian stone house built in 1850, which contains two separate apartments. Casa Piccolo Bassotto occupies the top floors of the building. Within Casa Piccolo Bassotto, the lower level (approximately 28 m²) features a combined kitchen and living area with a WC, while the upper level includes a bathroom, cupboard storage, and a worktable with a chair.

From Casa Piccolo Bassotto, guests can explore cobblestone streets in nearby villages, visit picturesque coastal towns, discover beautiful green hills and mountains ideal for hiking and cycling, and experience a peaceful environment for remote work.
